Anderson Ranch Arts Center
When artists seek a way to unlock their creativity, spending time living and working in a beautiful mountain town helps. Anderson Ranch Arts Center gives artists the opportunity to do just this on their Snowmass Village campus year-round.
In addition to providing state-of-the-art facilities for artists from all over the world, Anderson Ranch hosts public cultural events, like lively auctions, gallery openings, artist lectures, campus tours, and community meals.
Anderson Ranch offers workshops in eight art disciplines.
- Digital Fabrication
- Furniture Design & Woodworking
- Painting & Drawing
- Photography & New Media
Anderson Ranch also offers art workshops for children, as young as age 4, and teenagers.
One of Anderson Ranch’s most popular events is their Lunchtime Auctionettes. Held each Friday during the summer, these events are high-spirited affairs, where attendees can purchase artwork by Anderson Ranch faculty and students.
At the Lunchtime Auctionette, art lovers discover inspiring work by new artists; plus, there’s a barbecue lunch and ice cream sundaes.
During the summer, the Ranch also holds their artist conversation series. Past artists in the Summer Series: Featured Artists & Conversation include:
- Marina Abramovic
- Nick Cave
- Theaster Gates
- Steve McQueen
- Catherine Opie
- Frank Stella
- Bill Viola
- Kara Walker
Anderson Ranch is a cultural gem in the heart of Snowmass Village. The campus provides endless opportunities to engage in the art world, whether directly through a workshop or through attending an artist lecture.
